You have some nice devices within this idea - mutual commitment with other people can often get us to do things that we might readily otherwise put off and the chance 'flip a coin' type nature of the idea is more likely to make the call to action work, where as with a list of tasks we tend to do the easiest thing and leave those important but hard to do things at the bottom (and often for weeks and weeks...). Plus it really is a good idea to give rewards after something good has been done and not as a hopeful bribe up front.

Nice idea! Well done!

Thanks for your reply to my comment.

Maybe I can come with another suggestion? I often find myself clicking on your big header image. I guess I do so because I'm used to header images leadning to home/front page, so maybe it would be cool if you header image behaved in the same way?

Thanks for the kind words, Rich. Many of my ideas come in the middle of the night when all of the daily filters are gone. I have found that I need to write them down right then or they will be forgotten by morning. Having a pen and paper on the nightstand has been very helpful.

Great idea about the comment plug-in, I've seen it on some other blogs and it is helpful to keep the conversation going. I'll look into it.

Simply brilliant! How do you get your ideas?

BTW: It would be cool if you added e-mail notification for the comments, so us visitors could see replies to our comments.
I have seen a plug-in for wordpress with this functionality, but I must confess that I can't remember where.

Great question Adam. What would you do if you had no money, lacked motivation, and had a million things to do? You would have to use your imagination for sure.

To motivate my wife in that situation I would probably place a flower at the top of the tray. This would symbolize a walk in the fresh air, away from the projects and the mess. Just get one thing done and then get away from it all for a while.

I'm sure she would go for that.

Cute story. But what do you do if you're broke and have a thousand things to do and no motivation and just sit on the computer reading successbeginstoday.org blogs?
