I am also in Toastmasters and absolutely dread it anytime has to do the 'Getting comfortable with Visual Aids' speech and they bring a laptop. I know what is coming. It is a great tool if used effectively and sparingly. And if you do choose to use invest $20 - $30 in a remote to control the slides. Free yourself from the PAGEUP and PAGEDOWN keys on the laptop.
