Great example on the topic of speaking. I love the points and will take them to heart when I prepare for my next speech. I have read and know the importance of preparing. Because the time to fix the roof when its not raining.

Wow! I have been in Toastmasters for 15 years, and never heard it described like fired chicken. I like it :)

Cheers

I never used to have trouble speaking to groups. Then I spent 10 years locked away in cubes with limited interactions, and somehow that changed. I think you are right, in that repetition is needed, but also, recent repetition. After getting back in to the groove I was succressful at talking during my last users group. The best part? I saved myself about 500 gray hairs by not being so stressed out leading up to my presentation ;)

Very well put. Toastmasters really can improve your public speaking ability, etc., and that can radically impact your self confidence and, in a real sense, your life. I invite you to check out a brief video for some anecdotal evidence -- ahamoment.com/pg/moments/view/4453 -- it's one woman's "aha moment" that led her to join Toastmasters and how it greatly impacted her life. I hope you enjoy it, as well as the rest of the site, which was created by Mutual of Omaha to highlight inspirational stories and "aha moments" of all kinds.

Thanks,
