As I was preparing for a humorous speech contest last week, I was putting together some props for my speech about receiving the dreaded AARP card. I used a mailbox as my main prop and filled it with free sample items that you can get for free by filling out the sample card at the back of the AARP magazine.
As part of my props I designed a simple “Can’t Remember Sheet.” It’s basically a sheet of paper with four bright yellow boxes where you can write the names of things you need to remember. For my speech I used milk and eggs as examples. To use the sheet, you just write down the items you want to remember and put the sheet on your refrigerator door.
When you are ready for work, just take the sheet with you and post it in your car or keep it on your desk at work. That way you’ll remember to pick up the milk and eggs on your way home.
After giving the speech, I had numerous people come up afterwards and ask me where they could get the sheet. We’ll today I’m making it a free download that you can printout on any inkjet or laser printer. You’ll just need a Sharpie pin to make it work.
I’ve included a short video to show you how it works. Just remember… take the sheet wherever you go so you don’t forget!

I am still cracking up laughing!! I did, however, download and print a few copies of the Can't Remember Sheet. This is so funny. Just yesterday I made a list for my husband titled . . . "What I Need to Remember" after he left the water running in the horse trough all day long and flooded the neighborhood.
Did I turn off the water? Did I turn off the stove? Do I have my cell phone? In the event he is going roping, he needs to remember a horse, saddle, bridle, reins, spurs, rope, and trailer.
I have had more fun with this download. Everyone can relate to this one! The cool thing is, it actually works!
John, I first found your site looking for productivity tools. I just came across a website some of your readers might be interested in: http://www.pocketmod.com. It allows you to print a book on a single piece of paper — really neat.
